The Andhra Pradesh Table Tennis Association is one of the pioneer State Associations of Table Tennis Federation of India. It was registered and established in the year 1964 since then Andhra Pradesh Table Tennis Association had been vibrant in all the activities of the game of Table Tennis . It had produced National and International players.The State of Andhra Pradesh has produced Mir Kasim Ali the National Champion and the Arjuna awardee and also the finalist in common wealth Table Tennis championship prior to 1970s and many more national level players . The State also produced national champions like Subham Sarma, Jitenderm, Nikhat Banu, In recent past also the state has produced national champion in the form of K.Spoorty, National Junior Champion. Subsequently the state has been bifurcated into two states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The present state of Andhra Pradesh is now booming up with full activity by conducting many state level ranking tournaments and also district level and state level championships. We hope to see many more players from bifurcated state of present Andhra Pradesh.

The Andhra Pradesh Table Tennis Association also has organized many National and International events in Andhra Pradesh1)PENT-ANGULAR Championship inviting teams from 5 countries Pakistan, Srilanka, Nepal, Bhutan and India in the year 1970s,Golden Jubilee Senior Nationals and Junior Nationals,Common Wealth TT Championship 1994, IX Asian Junior Table Tennis ChampionShip in 2002 and 4 National ranking Table Tennis Championships at Vijayawada in the past 10 years, the last being from 4th to 8th October 2006.The APTTA is grateful to Shri Sudeep Lakhtakia IPS the former President of APTTA for all his valuable Services in general to the Association and inspiration and motivation to the players in Particular.
